It has been several weeks
since my arrival here and I think I am adjusting pretty well. I
was very scared for the first few weeks, only because of the
strange surroundings and noises. I have a nice large crate
to sleep in, but if I had my way, I would sleep on the big
king-sized bed that my new family sleep on. I have a cat Oscar,
4 years old, to play around with, but at feeding time, I sure do
let him know to keep his distance. I am the official watchdog
for the house. No one gets in without going past me, I am very
vocal! I get to go on long walks whenever the weather is
nice. At night I round up the family in the living room and then
I go through my new toy basket, emptying it out and having the
family play fetch…I do the fetching! I really think things are
working out for me now. As with all things, it takes time. I
know my new family really likes me and will keep me around for a
long time, thanks to the Sheltie Placement
