Exclusive Interview: Take that New Idea (thwack!!).. Get a load of this Who Weekly (wham!!).. and 60 Minutes (Crash!!).. We've got an exclusive interview with Lisa from Shipwrecked, (& Hitz FM) and you haven't, so nyah. (sorry, got a bit tabloid there, didn't we?) Seriously, the lovely Lisa has agreed to an interview with RWHC, and we're eternally grateful. :)

Plagiarism Shmagiarism: Hey, that streaker photo on the front page of www.wildfm.com.au looks familiar ;) Hmmm.. so does the picture on this 'streaking' website.. ;) Gee, even the paragraph under each picture is the same as the one on this site.. ;) Oh well, being copied is much better than being ignored :)
RWHC	March 4, 2001. US Dot com disasters affect RWHC website
Messageboard bites the dust: We all laughed at all those stupid investors in America who lost stacks of money last April, because they threw money at anything that involved a ".com". Now, insidetheweb.com (who host our messageboard) has stopped the messageboards. So, if you know a good messageboard host, please tell us so we can get our board going again, and you'll have somewhere to gossip about Wild & Hitz, ask about songs, etc etc etc (don't worry.. this site will continue as usual..) Hitz claims high score: On the official Hitz site, which FINALLY mentions news items ON THE FRONT PAGE SO YOU SEE THEM STRAIGHT AWAY... (pet whinge) you can read about how the station received the most submissions and letters of support in their attempt to get a full time license. For example: 36,598 people signed a petiton supporting HITZ FM. This represents almost 4 per cent of 12-30 year olds in Melbourne, the audience that HITZ FM was created for.
	February 17, 2001. Ex-Hitz staff make it BIG! License update
Watch out Sydney: You may have heard that both Melbourne and Sydney are to have a new commercial FM station starting this year.. both run by a company called DMG. The Sydney station will be on-air soon, and an ex-Hitz announcer has been announced as one of the station's new recruits! Hitz Staff get Shipwrecked: Remember Shipwrecked last year? It was the one with the poms on the island, that wasn't at all like Survivor. Well, not much. Maybe a little. :) Anyway, Shipwrecked 2 started last Tuesday, with three Aussies added, and one of them is a former Hitz FM 'Hard Rock/Alternative' announcer. LATE NEWS: She's also agreed to an interview with us, appearing here soon we hope! Hitz FM license update: The submission process of the Melbourne Community license is now complete. All aspirants (groups applying for a license) have put their submission in, and also their 'response' submission, which is a bit like the ABA's version of the TV show Missing Link. eg "I think XYZ FM shouldn't get a license because..." Although I'm not sure who gets to say "You're application sucks.. GOODBYE" ;) Public Hearings (that you can attend) are likely to be held in May this year. 	January 17th, 2001. Ultimate Wild Tracklisting finally online!
Ultimate Wild Fans CD: After months of voting, compiling, and other things that end with 'ing', you can now read the compilation tracklisting created by Wild fans around Australia. Have a look at the tracks that made it from Wild CDs 1-5, then 6-10.. then of course, the final tracklisting itself! By the way, congratulations to Nic_star and Scorpion who won the CD giveaways as part of the CD voting.

Hitz License Application: Just updated the info on the Hitz license application page. You can now read about the ABA public hearings, and how you can be involved.
	January 10th, 2001. This is it..
Less than 48 hours to help Hitz: If you're a Hitz member, you probably know all this.. if not.. here's the deal! Hitz FM has submitted their application for a full-time community FM license for the young people of Melbourne. Now, they need your help. You've got until this Friday.. January 12th to email a submission to the ABA telling why you think Hitz should have the license. It can be a few paragraphs.. or a few pages. Read up on what to do NOW.. and you can help the Hitz.

Happy New Year: Sorry for the break there.. but now we're back! The Melbourne trip was fun.. picked up a copy of the latest Hitz mini-mag.. (scans to come soon) and also attended a license planning meeting which was very interesting. BIG UPDATE in a day or two! Including our final results for the ULTIMATE Wild CD listing.. woo hoo! Plus details on who won the CDs of course!
