We will tackle residential energy alternatives later on. When we talk about alternative energy, we mean anything that is not in mainstream use. We consider technological upgrades an energy system alternative. If it's not in mainstream use, it's an alternative. Rather than using the brute force method of adding cubic inches to increase horsepower, you can add power and economy to your engine with a little finesse. Our specialty is modifying Chrysler slant six engines. For performance information, go directly to the Automotive Technology section. Why would anyone consider alternative energy options anyway? The main reason for them is that they make environmental sense. Usually, the reason people implement them is that they make economic sense. Sometimes, people do them just because they can. Environmentally, alternative energy pollutes less and contributes less to global warming. Economically, certain options are less expensive to operate than conventional energies. However, making a switch away from a mainstream conventional energy will involve conversion costs that could take a significant time to pay back. If you make a switch because you like the challenge, the results are your reward. We're new to the internet and the information here will increase over time. Company Profile
Raso Enterprises is a small business founded by Frank Raso. He became interested in alternative fuels while studying mechanical engineering at the University of Ottawa. He has had a life-long interest in cars and especially engines. Raso Enterprises manufactures a number of specialty automotive products, primarily for the slant six engine at this time, and sells a wide variety of automotive propane conversion, speed, and dress-up components.
