Destroyers form the backbone of any space faring
navy. Small, fast and heavily armed, Destroyer Units are often deployed in the first
wave of any engagement in support of larger ships. They can be as small as scouts and as large as
frigates. The Federation Starfleet operates 6 Destroyer Classes; Polaris,
Defender, Blackbird, Axis, Freedom and Gettysburg.
