Changing the background
Backgrounds can be a solid
color, a pattern, or an image. The important thing to keep in mind
is to keep a good contrast between the backgrounds and the text
People who are color deficient my be visiting your site. Keep readability
in mind as well.
Adding Graphics
Any graphic can be added to
the web page that is a GIF or a JPEG. A GIF contains 256 colors and
can be still or animated. A JPEG uses millions of colors and
take up more space than a GIF. Images for your page can be scanned
in, taken with a digital camera, or downloaded from a web site. The
images we are using are freeware. In general, images belong to the
creator of the web site.

Adding Tables
Tables are a great way to
help align text and graphics on your web page. The tables can have
a border to separate items or can be set to have no border but align the
columns.
Adding Links
Links are a quick way to connect:
In web site design, Relative
links are preferred. That way, as you upload your site to a remote
server, all the links will continue to work because files are in the same
relative location.
