Afghan literature is huge combination of centuries and cultures, which by the political and war reasons is divided between countries from India up to Turkey and from Iraq up to south soviet union countries. This is the desertion of those, who lived in Great Persian, Osmani, and Indian Empires. off course one language could join all these countries, and this was DARI ( Farsi ). Which is spoken in Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan today. although there are other languages beside Dari on use in these countries, still Dari is the main language of their literature and communication. We can improve this by searching a little deeply historic literature and today's writings of  those countries.

For that, in this page, we are going to introduce you those literary stars, which are not only famous in Afghanistan, but also in Iran, Tajikistan, India, and some of them are will known all over the world . The most famous Afghan writers have lived after Islam. Maulana Jalaludin Balkhi ( Rumi ), Sanayi Ghaznawi, Naser Khesraw Balkhi, Abulqasim Ferdawsi, Farukhi Sistani, Nizami Ganjawi, and Ommar Khiyam are of those, whose works are translated in other languages like English, Italian, French, Urdu, Turkish and German. In these days Mawlana Jalaludin is very popular in America in his philosophy books The Divane Shams and Masnawiye Manawi.

We can't ignore that after Islam in Afghanistan, the influence of the Arabic language in Afghan languages is very big, the combination of the Farsi language, Farsi letters placing, and the pull of Arabic words in Afghan everyday spoken language improves it. Dari language is very wild and it assimilates foreign words in it. We can find today in Dari ( Farsi ) language many words with a Turkish, Arabic, Mongol or Other language root.

You can find in the internet thousands of Dari (Farsi) sites with more useful information. Best Luck
