In the name of Allah Afghans were of first refugees who started to live in Lithuanian Republic since 1997. And those Afghans who has spent that time in Lithuania, they know, that at the time the big part of refugees in Lithuania were Afghans. At the main time Afghan community is one of the smallest Afghan communities in the world. Our members are about 26 people. As a matter of fact the Lithuanian lows and refugee acceptation progresses are not comfortable and equal to other European countries. So refugees are not interested to stay here in Lithuania. The Lithuania is a post Communism country and seeking the better life and civil affairs this country is still a beginner. So as all Lithuanians, we Afghan staying here also believing that, someday here would be better then every where or would be just like other European countries, so people will be pleased to say they are living in Lithuania. Our Afghans living in several parts of Lithuania, 6 persons in Ukmerge, 4 persons in Jonava, 6 persons in Kaunas, 3 persons and 3 persons in Vilnius.
