REALM® is designed from the ground up as a
stand-alone application. Most other investment analysis software packages on the
market are simply spreadsheets. These require you to also purchase a
spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3. The
functionality provided by these other packages is limited to the capabilities of
the underlying spreadsheet program. REALM® has no such limitations.
The heart of REALM® is a set of 8 Tabs that together
completely illustrate an investment's parameters and fiscal viability. You
can see an example of each tab by clicking the appropriate button on the left
(Note: there are actually 3 Mortgage tabs, one for each of the 3 possible
mortgages on the property).
All user inputted data is entered on the first 2 tabs: the
Property Info tab and the Variables tab. Of course, all inputted, derived,
and calculated data is shared across the 8 tabs.

Info – This tab allows you to enter in descriptive information about a
property including the address, property statistics, and a property
photograph. |

mortgages, rents, and economic factors. |
 | Snapshot
- This tab gives a quick snapshot type overview of the financial analysis of
the scenario. |
 | Year-By-Year
- This tab lists all the numbers for the investment analysis broken out by
year. |
 | Summary
- This tab displays a table with the investment numbers for all 30 years
summarized. |
 | First
Mortgage - This tab shows an amortization schedule for the first
mortgage. |
 | Second
Mortgage - This tab shows an amortization schedule for the second
mortgage. |
 | Third
Mortgage - This tab shows an amortization schedule for the third
mortgage.
