The foundation of the band was laid in 1992 when Jason and Beth met at an open mic in Madison, Wisconsin. While touring acoustically, their van broke down in Austin, Texas, where they took up residence and became friends with Derek Hatley. Inspired by their music and fierce determination, Hatley joined them to form Quatropaw. After independently releasing two albums, ( All Night Living 1994 and Red 1998 ), Quatropaw found the ideal bass player in Dave Warren. Since its conception, Quatropaw has been dedicated, hard working, and self- sustaining. They have proven themselves by winning national contests, ( Spin Magazine- Best Unsigned Band 1998), awards, ( Rolling Stone's Valentine's Day Song Contest - Red Roses 2000) and touring. Their passion and pursuit of success was noticed in 1999 when David Lees signed them to a British label, Neptune Records.
As the title Flight suggests, Quatropaw has spread their wings. With the backing of their label and the freedom to record, produce, and engineer their new CD, the band is seeing the future through a more focused lens. |
