Fulkerson, Lewis D.

Co. "I"

Lewis D. Fulkerson was born on the 30th of January 1830 in Chautauqua Co., NY.
He was married on the 8th of April 1855 to Mary Ann CARR in Cass Co., Mich.
They were listed as living there, in Porter Twp., on the 1860 Census.
He enlisted, as a Private, from Calhoun Co. Mich., at the age of 31, on 22 April 1861 at Kalamazoo, Mich. and served in Company I, 2nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry during the early months of the Civil War.
He received a disability discharge on the 24th of November 1861 at Fort Lyon, VA.
He was later reported living at Constantine, St Joseph Co., Michigan.
He appeared on the 1900 Census, living at Constantine with his mother's younger sister, Artimetia BLANCHARD (b. 1817 in NY).
His last Reported Residence at Constantine Mich.
He died on the 22nd of April 1905. His final resting place is unknown to me at this time.
