So You Wanted to Know More
|
What, I wonder, were you hoping to learn by looking to this section of My Life. If you assumed that some sort of diagram charting my vital statistics, accompanied by likes and dislikes would welcome you, one will not. I am not the sort of person who gives away information so freely.
So who am I? I am a Smith, one of millions. That is all I will say about myself right here. If you are assaulted by the urge to know more about me, you can do one of two things, each of which will give you different, but equally true -- that is, assuming you interpret what you are given correctly. I suppose I could give you all the facts about myself, and you may not get out of them what they mean. Still, there are two ways you can discover more about me; first, you can ask. If you email me, asking your questions, I will be sure to ask, unless there are circumstances which prevent me from doing so, but they would have to be rather outstanding. Your second option relies even more heavily upon your interpretive skills, though if you do so wisely, you are sure to know more about me than you would by merely asking; I am referring to the site itself. By perusing the various sections, particularly the poetry section, you will see how I react to certain situations. This bio section in itself, despite -- or better yet, because of -- the lack of facts, tells you something about me. Either method is fine with me, though I would be quite surprised if you employ either, considering you are not likely to care, nor even read this, but that is beside the point.
So what then, is the me section here for, if not to let you know about me? Basically, I have turned into a haven for miscellaneous items. The "prose poetry" I have written, which is actually worse than my normal poetry, is placed here for that reason. However, the most interesting, and in my opinion, probably the most humorous thing on the site, is the interview. The interview was originally three journal entries which consisted entirely of myself being interviewed by I. It was a gimmick, to be sure, but it was entertaining for me, and because no one ever visits anyway, why not entertain myself?
Have fun.
