Close-ups of Flowers

Taking close-up photos of flowers with the digital camera is a great way of revealing their real beauty. Here are a few favourites from our garden.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus syriacus - great summer flowering shrub - it is deciduous in the temperate climate of Melbourne, Australia where we live.

Aquilegia

Aquilegia or Columbine - I counted seven different color forms in the columbines in our garden.

Mr Lincoln Rose

Mr Lincoln - long-stemmed hybrid tea rose with great fragrance.

Dietes
Dietes iridiodes - a rhizomatous perennial, a native of South Africa and Lord Howe Island - photo taken after a shower of rain.

Dahlia Le Coco

Dahlia Le Coco - stunning flowers - leaves are dark green.
