Resources Needed

Here are some ideas and resources to enhance this WebQuest:

• Library resources on ecosystems and biomes.  Most libraries have many books on biomes.  Encyclopedias are always a good starting point. 
  
• E-mail accounts are not necessary but if you have access it will allow students to interface with their peers and with professionals in the field or people that live in the biomes that they are researching.
  
• National Geographic has many videos on biomes that could be used to help students learn about their biome.
  

This unit is designed to work with at least one teacher to pool together time and supervision.  The librarian should also be available to help the students with their internet research.  If there is a possibility to solicit other experts in the field to have on hand during this project, this would also enhance the students success.  Field trips could also be added to the end of the unit.  Suggestions for field trips would be any place where there would be different biomes located within.  See the following list for ideas.
