Research Interests

My principal interests nowadays pertain to theoretical studies on phase transformations under non-equilibrium conditions. I have also developed a keen interest in process modeling of various processes (for synthesis of nanomaterials) like ball milling.

Following my MTech work on metallic glasses, I am interested in studying the structure of liquids, and how the clusters evolve prior to solidification. Work in this area could hold dual importance for both the processes, solidification and melting.

During my undergraduate career, I have also worked on solidification, polymer composites and fatigue. The links on the navigation bar on the right lead to brief summaries of my research projects.
