Bishop Johnny L. Williams, Pastor and Founder of Holy Tabernacle United Church of God, Florida

Born in Millen, GA and later moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL.  He is married to Mother Mary L. Williams and they have three children.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior in May 1974, under the ministry and leadership of Bishop Robert H. Hillman.

After being converted, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost he served in the office of Deacon, President of the Usher Board, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and Sunday School Superintendent.

He was called by GOD into the ministry and his first sermon, titled "What a Man" (Text: Mark 4-35-39) was preached on June 4, 1975 on a Wednesday night.  The hearts of God's people were encouraged.

He was appointed Pastor of Saint Andrew's United Church of God, in August, 1982 by the late Bishop Dan H. Hayes.  It was through this dedicated, consecrated and spiritual young leader, that a new and beautiful edifice was built.  Now known as  Holy Tabernacle United Church of God, Florida.  Holy "T", the name we the people call it.

Bishop Williams is now the Vice Bishop of the United Church of God, Inc. Greensboro, NC and Mother Mary L. Williams is the State Mother of the Florida District.  

Holy Tabernacle is a spirit filled church full of love, a place where the spirit of the Lord is and you can bring your family.  It's also known as "The Word Church, " because Bishop Williams preaches and tells the word just like it is.  If you want the truth, you'll love Holy Tabernacle.  Holy Tabernacle still  reaches new altitude and is one of Fort Lauderdale's largest Pentecostal churches in the area, and we are now in the process of building again.  May the hearts of all God's people rejoice and to God be the Glory!
