Elder Andre' Ponder has done it again.  This time he takes on the gospel music world with the help of this anointed and spirit filled ensemble he calls, "Praise DeLight."  Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  He accepted the Lord at the early age of twelve and has since been involved in the ministry of Jesus Christ.  He serves as the youth minister of one of the fastest growing Pentecostal churches in the area, Holy Tabernacle United Church of God, Florida.  His pastor is Bishop Johnny L. Williams.

Elder Andre' is a vibrant, charismatic and enthusiastic minister with a goal of pleasing the Lord in all he does.  Although he sings on occasion within his preaching ministry, he is noted for his ability to work with youth and choir directing.  As a choir director, it is often said, "That boy sure knows how to direct!"  Although he has served in the armed forces, the Florida Army National Guard, is a former Drill Instructor in a boot camp program, has a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and is currently pursing his PhD in Educational Leadership.  He is known as a young man with a heart for the youth.  He has also served as the National Youth Vice President of the United Church of God, Inc., Greensboro, NC, the President of Young People in Action, and now the National Youth President of the United Church of God, Florida, and serves on a number of boards and committees.

Elder Andre' is now reaching the national masses through radio and music with his new CD project entitled, "That was Then, This is Now," with the Praise DeLight ensemble.  His music has caught the attention of many and serves as a personal testimony in his own life.  As founder of the Praise DeLight ensemble, he is successfully promoting the ministry through the gift of song.  Committed to "Keeping God in the Gospel," their new project is available now and is just a start for many things to come. 

Elder Andre' is a very involved minister and seems to never become tired, but aside from his many ministerial duties, he is the proud father of two wonderful sons, DeAndre' and Brandon.  We are proud to present him to you.  This man is on a mission.  He is educated and respected alike.  His youth ministry is making history and is setting him apart from other's who are waiting for it to happen, while Elder Andre' is making it happen.

Elder Andre' notes that his future goals are to be on a major gospel music label, have his own business and recording studio, to star in a major motion picture and to sing for the President of the United States.  He would also like for Praise DeLight to have their own transportation and equipment for trips.  Why not even, "Praise DeLight United Church of God, Florida."  He is now in the process of working on his second project.  "That was Then, This is Now" is only the beginning, stay tuned and be blessed.
