Curtis was starving. He sat down with his fast food burger and unwrapped it. He picked it up and opened his mouth.

"Don't eat me."

He put it down. There was nobody looking at him, nobody talking to him, but he heard something. Didn't he? Probably just his food starved mind playing tricks. He tried to take a bite out of the burger again and he heard the same whisper.

"Don't eat me."

"What the hell do you want?" Curtis asked the person in the next seat.

The person just looked at him funny and scooted over to the next seat. Curtis shook his head and picked up his burger.

"You can't eat me," he heard. "My name is Hammy."

He looked at his hamburger. Hammy? Someone was messing with him. One of those reality shows where they pull crap on you or try to piss you off. It wasn't going to bother him, he was hungry.

"You know my name now," Hammy said. "Don't eat me."

"I paid for you. I'm hungry. You're food."

"Don't be stupid. Don't eat me."

"Stupid?" Curtis asked. "I'm not having a conversation with my food."

He took a big bite out of the burger and chewed it. He didn't choke when he swallowed, it went straight down. It tasted good. He was about to take another bite when he fell face first into the ketchup and freedom fries.

"Told you not to eat me," Hammy said. "Stupid."
