Jake got in trouble all the time for playing jokes on his grandma after she moved in with the family. He would do little stuff throughout the year but he pulled out all the stops on April Fools. He always said it wasn't him. But what kid admits trickin his grandma? One April Fool's morning, Jake's grandma woke up and put her slippers on. She felt something squish between her toes. She pulled the slippers off and her feet were covered in tooth paste. She smiled. When she made her coffee, someone switched her sugar for sault and she spit the coffee all over the wall. She giggled while cleaned up the mess she made. She went to the bathroom and got stuck to the toilet seat. She hadn't noticed the glue when she sat down and now she couldn't get up. She called the fire department and there was peanut butter on the reciever. She laughed while the fire department came out to remove her from the seat. After Jake got off the bus, she greeted him at the stop. He saw a 'kick-me' sign on her back but he didn't say anything. He didn't want to get in anymore trouble than he was in. He just hoped none of his friends noticed. After he went inside, he heard the doorbell ring. When he opened the door, his grandma was trying to hide behind his bike. He shook his head. "Granny," he said. "You're just not very good at this April Fools thing." |
