"No freaky rides," Benny said. "I don't want to ride no freaky rides. I'll ride some, but not the bad ones."

"The freaky ones are the best ones though," his brother said. "They're the most fun. You don't want to just ride the sissy ones, do you?"

"No freaky rides."

And there were no freaky rides at first. Benny's big brother warmed him up with the ones that went a little higher, a little faster, a few more loops. After a while, little brother was ready to try a freaky ride. But not any freaky ride, the freakiest of them all.

"If you're going to do it, you should do it right." Big bro said. "If you can take this ride, you can take any ride in the park. Ride this one, and I'll never call you chicken again."

"Well, Okay." Benny said.

Benny and his bro waited nearly two hours in line. When they finally got to the front, they were strapped in their seats and there was no going back.

"You know what they call this ride?" Big bro asked.

"Mind---"

"No," Bro said. "That's what the park people call it..the sign out front is just a sign. It's really called the Guillotine." "Why?" Benny swallowed hard.

"Cuz," Bro whispered. "People who get on this ride have a funny way of getting off...without their..." he slid his index finger across his throat.

Benny started to scream, but by then everyone was starting to scream. The ride was at the top if its first hill and all the fun was about to begin. He could have messed his underwear, but he didn't. He shut his eyes and wondered if there were any skidmarks on his undies for the medics to find.

After the first loop, he wasn't so scared anymore. A few loops and he could open his eyes. A couple twists and turns and he was really having a good time. He was still screaming, but he wasn't afraid in a bad way anymore. His hands were in the air and he was smiling real big. This was great.

He almost didn't want it to be over when the ride slowed down and pulled into the loading bay. Fear creped in his heart about then. He realized he hadn't heard his brother say anything since the first drop. Had his brother...his head...was he...

He wasn't dead. But he did smell. His brother told him a lot of things, but what he didn't tell him was he had never been on this ride either. He hadn't lost his head, but what he did to himself was somehow worse.
