The Woods Wizard's Fishing page
These are a lot of great fishing opportunities in North Georgia's lakes and streams. Here is what the Wizard goes fishing for: trout, catfish, bass, crappie, and bream.

There have been
Winter is a great time to get out and fish.  There is less human activity on lakes and streams so the fish are less stressed and more hungery.  The cooler water in the streams make trout more active and the lower water in the lakes concontrates fish like bass and crappie into areas where they can find plentiful food.
Lake Allatoona Map
During the summer months the temperature forces fish to find cooler deeper water.  The fish come up toward the surface to feed after the sun and the temperature has gone down.  You might try fishing at night around docks or under bridges.  Dock lights attact food fish and bugs that game fish like to eat.  Bridge areas attact fish in these concentrated areas that act as funnels.  Using lights to attact food fish and bugs in these areas.  The fish will often be down around 12 feet under the boat.  Try to fish as long as you can or until you get your limit.
Minnows work the best and jigs will sometimes work too.  While in these areas try to set up so as not to interfear with boat traffic.
Check the DNR website for more info. on other N. GA. lakes.  In the future I'll have more specific information on these areas.
