Edgarstown Residents Association Edgarstown Residents Association was re-formed at the AGM in February 2001. ERA Committee: Chairperson: Phyllis Millington Vice-Chair: Julie Matchett Secretary: Ethel Smith Treasurer: Lorraine Liggett Committee members: Kerry Millington, Lorraine Liggett, Michelle Hill, Wayne McCarten, Billy McClean, Edgarstown Residents Association covers the following areas: Greenview Gardens, West Street, North Street, Union Street, Margaret Street and Hampton Court. Since February 2001, the committee have worked on a number of projects and environmental issues, hoping to improve the Edgarstown area.The committee have tried to keep the residents informed at all times regarding the projects they are working on. To do this they have held public meetings, posted out numerous flyers, and posters. With the support of The PLACE Initiative, and the newsletter, ERA hopes they can continue to keep the community updated and informed. Edgarstown Residents Association are pleased to announce that the community base, 88 Union Street, Portadown, is now officially open! The Base was opened by Mrs. Yvonne Forbes, a local resident who has lived in the area for over 66 years, on Wednesday 17th April 2002. The base will be used as an administrative office for the committee and a drop-in advice centre for residents, as well as for use on various projects the group will be undertaking.
