to Ogle airport, Georgetown

Tuesday, April 2th, 2002 - We all slowly awake to our last day at the falls. We aren't sure when the plane is going to come pick us up. Frank said sometime after lunch. All we know for sure is that we need to make it into Georgetown by 6 pm because that is when the airport closes down.
We spend several hours leisurely chatting and slowly gathering and packing our gear. Then we trek out to the landing strip to wait for the airplane.
Our plane was supposed to arrive at 3 pm but for some reason, it was late. By the time that it did come it was 5 pm and we were definitely in a rush to get back to Georgetown to meet the 6 pm deadline. We also wanted to take off before the weather got any worse. The fog had rolled in approximately 15 minutes before the plane arrived. It just goes to show how quickly the weather can change at that altitude.
