Agatha Christie - The Queen of Crime

Agatha Christie is the world's best known mistery writer. Her books have delighted fans

worldwide and have sold over a billion copies in the English language and another billion in over

45 foreign languages. She is out sold only by the Bible and Shakespeare.

In her writing career, she wrote novels, short stories collections and plays, "The Mousetrap" is

now the longest continuously - running play in theatrical history - it opened in London on

November 25, 1952.

Her most famous fictional creations were the crime fighters Poirot (Hercule Poirot) and Miss Marple (Jane Marple).
