This is a poem which I wrote about ten years ago.  I'd like to take a moment to explain a bit about it.  It is called Song of Creation and is a poetic interpretation of the first chapter of Genesis.  I originally wrote it to enter into a teen poetry contest (yes, it was quite awhile ago!), but apparently it wasn't what they were looking for.  The winners' poems were only a few lines long, as opposed to a few pages long!  But sometimes the creative spirit becomes a little wordy, especially when it is glorifying the Creator.  My original title was Creation Dream, a title which I borrowed from a Bruce Cockburn song.  However, I decided that the current title was more appropriate, and I didn't have to worry about any copyright infringements.
I have recently had the privelage of finding an incredible website by John R. Bell.  Many of his images look as if they were made specifically for my poem (although this isn't the case).  I have used many of his works, and you'll see the logo below on any page containing one of his images.  Another note about John Bell's images:  many of them have scriptures which do not seem to go with the page they are on.  This is because his terms of usage do not allow alterations to his work (such as removing or changing the scritptures).  You will still find the images themselves to be appropriate, however, and an extra verse or two never hurt anyone!

And now for the boring legal stuff.  This poem is my own original work, and all rights belong solely to me.  It is here for your enjoyment and is not to be used for any commercial purposes.  If you enjoy it (and I hope you do), you are welcome to link to it from your own page, but you may not reproduce any part of it in any medium.  Most of the images which illustrate the poem, however, are not my own.  Copyrights for them belong to the original owners, and I have provided credit with each image.  A few of the images, such as the one on this page, have either been edited by me or are not original work.  (The image on this page, for example, was cropped by me from a painting by William Blake.  Since the mad poet has been dead for some time, I'm sure he wil not mind my using it.)
