The Voice again filled the Cosmos.
"Let there be an expanse between the waters,
        Separating water from water."
And the Dancer,
    Never tiring,
    Dived into the mighty ocean.
And soon I saw a great liquid mountain
Growing from the place He had dove.
And the mound grew,
    And as it approached me,
I felt myself being engulfed in the ocean,
    And I fell,
        Down,
            Into its soft warmth,
                Into the beautiful liquid blue,
                    "Fear not,"
                        Whispered the Presence,
                            And I obeyed...
And suddenly I was out again,
    Beneath the upper waters,
And I could see the Dancer lifting the waters,
    Forming the expanse,
    Separating water from water.
And as the upper waters rose,
    They boiled,
Forming a soft, white canopy of liquid steam,
        Enveloping the cosmic ocean
Of which they were once a part.
And when the expanse was complete,
The Dancer sung out its name.
    Its name was Sky.
And the Dancer again raised His golden cloak,
    Hiding Day,
    And it was evening.
And as He lowered it once more,
The morning announced the Second Day.
