My favorite time of year is drawing to a close, and I'm fighting the depression big time. I hate fall. Why? Because fall comes right before winter, and winter is my least favorite season. It's cold. It's snowy. It's horrible. I love Christmas, but it's all downhill after December 25th. So I have decided rather than putting up depressing graphics of fall leaves and pumpkins and all that garbage, I'm going to put up a bright cheery spring theme instead. In November I may actually be ready for a pumpkin or two. So, how about Sarah Palin? Is she awesome or what? I actually feel good about voting for McCain! I'm thinking the Dems will probably try to switch out Biden for Hillary. If Obama had half a brain, he would've picked her to begin with. Guess he was too busy NOT answering questions to give it much thought. What a lunatic. I hope he doesn't win. I really do. I'll know that God has washed His hands of this country if that idiot becomes our next president. I have been wasting WAY too much time on Yahoo! answers. My favorite section is Gender & Women's Studies. I've also been in the Politics section a lot lately. And look! I have a cute little avatar (see below). She has my dream hair: long, red, and curly. She is decked out for the election.
My Adorable Avatar I have a miracle to share, so to speak. As the remnants of Ike swept through Ohio, a tree nearly fell on our house. It literally missed it by inches. Here are a couple of pics. Thank God that He didn't let it split a few more inches down!
Now, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Michele. I work at a little flower shop. I do the bookkeeping and answer the phones. I like the bookkeeping part better. No weird customers. My husband and I have two cats and no kids, and I have a TON of interests! I've made pages for some of them that I hope you will enjoy. Now, I know that you have to be asking yourself about the name of my page. Why the name "Penultima"? It means "next to the last." I originally chose the name for my site about a decade ago when it was the next to the last century before the new millennium. I kept it because it's a neat word. I could get philosophical about how we're living in the next to the last days before total global annihilation, but that's a bit dreary. If I ever stop being cheap and actually pay for my own site, I'll consider changing it. But for now, it's kind of cool. Take a look around and have some fun!
