Kevin put the deadly chemical into a croaker sack in his trunk then opened a bucket of fresh cow manure he had picked up from a dairy farm. He drank a couple beers, spilling a lot on his shirt, but he drove on. When he got to the border a guard asked, "How long have you been in Mexico,?"

Kevin grinned. "Just for lunch at Rosita's"

The border guard asked, "Buy anything?"

Kevin's grin widened. "Nothing except what's in my stomach, and in my heart, for you know Rosita's." The border guard waved him on through so he drove back to his condo and cleaned up his car. He took a shower and threw his stinky clothes in the washer.

A local girl was to introduce the Strawberry Queen and present her with a flat of freshly picked strawberries and that would start the festival. The Queen would eat two or three and then declare the festival open. And after that the girl would take the box of strawberries to the kitchen of the big house where traditionally they would be cleaned, washed, and prepared for the evening's dessert of strawberry shortcake.
