Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III Extra |
Extra stuff This page exists for two reasons, an about the Author and a credits page. Every site needs this stuff so here it is.   About Me My name is John. I go to Benson High School In this school there are three main educational segments. HOSA- Health Occupational Students of America, VICA- Vocational somethin somethin America and the Academic part. Every student is either in HOSA or VICA and then they go to regular classes too. I am a HOSA student. If you are wondering what I learn... I learn a lot. I know 500 medical terms, extensive anatomy/physiology, ethical standards and many medical skills. This year I am in Dental Assisting and can get a Dental Assisting License from my school. I am usually very busy... that is why this page isn't updated much. I am in seven clubs and I volunteer a lot. I am in BATs-Benson Auditorium Technicians (I fix stuff and point the spotlights) I'm in our Chess team (Last board... I score our team points by showing up). I am in Brain Bowl- An annual state-wide competition held by Oregon Health Sciences University (we got first place this year and I was actually important to the team's success). I'm in Science Bowl- annual national event with trivia in every branch in science (I am good at this but didn't do very well last year, we only got 4th of 64 teams). HOSA- we have already covered (I fix the computers and answer too many questions). I am in the school's webteam too. Webteam is the IT team. We fix computers and make the web site. (I write descriptions of the HOSA classes I took for the HOSA section). I have joined ocean bowl and am informally on the Technet team. When I'm not at school, doing homework or volunteering I am online. I am the co-creator of the upcoming Oregon High School Chess Association web site. I'm the creator of this and I am also make some appearances at www.pdastreet.com, www.gamewinners.com and www.brighthand.com. I made this web site (originally a word document) for a few faculty members of my school. My Principal, my School's Career advisor and even a teacher that I didn't know! This was just a way for me to tell them the basics of their Pocket PC without being called out of class. Then I added to it and made it publicly available to those at www.pdastreet.com. After a lot of complaints because it was too hard to open (three attached zip folders with a word doc inside each!). BTW, this is why there are three chapters. I told them that it would be available online soon. So I just roughly coded it and threw it on the web. It looked like three word documents and an index page. You can look at the revision history to see the rest of the story. It has helped a few people and I'm content that I have done that. That's why this is free! Although many of my friends think I should charge for this info, I believe that if I were to simply reply to post after repetitive post at www.pdastreet.com for free what's the difference? Email me if you would like to ask anything or offer to write content! lol. I give credit. Speaking of which. The Credits section has been moved from Chapter 3 to guess where? Credits |
