| Dragons are relatively rare maow that guard large territories, often sharing their territory with a human city, such as Laurel. Mated pairs are even rarer, as it is hard for a dragon to find a real life-mate among the small population of dragons that there are. Most enjoy having a ward to guard, however, and quite often a dragon will bond to a human or maow that is also guarding their territory, such as a ranger, knight, or Guide.
