This application represents the second of many modules that provide the Office of Secretary of Defense the means to update content on DefenseLINK. This application is another web-enabled application with the ability to perform both inside the Pentagon or outside the Pentagon. This application allowed the content providers to update content via a web browser and this content was input and formatted according to working standards and in a three-tier hierarchical fashion. Upon updating the content, the content owner could define the priority of the content, whether it should appear as a new item or simply appear without reference to it being new as well as the distribution of the item. This application provided a one-step means to populate data on the homepage, the sites section index page, the page specific to entry item as well as the ability to preview and embargo it. The selected sites application provided further understanding for the DefenseLINK program office as it defined the baseline for future application development.
