Launched in April 2000, this site provided information regarding the worldwide events for Armed Forces Day. This application represents the first of many modules that provide the Office of Secretary of Defense the means to update content on DefenseLINK. This application was the first web-enabled application with the ability to perform both inside the Pentagon or outside the Pentagon. This application allowed the content providers to update content via a web browser and this content was input and formatted according to working standards. Upon updating the content, the content owner could define the priority of the content, whether it should appear as a new item or simply appear without reference to it being new. It also provided the content providers a means to preview and/or embargo the entry before publishing. This application also provided the DefenseLINK program office a baseline for future application development. The DefenseLINK publications module is a restricted access site. The below page represents the output of this application.
Responsible for: Creation of graphics, layout, navigation schema, Cold Fusion application to support the uploading/updating of content, and application topology.

Launched in 1997, this site provided information regarding military pay, both historically and current. Recognizing that this information was available within the organization and valuable to the public at large (via web statistics and e-mail requests), I worked with military pay folks to make this information available online and even after my departure from the position the availability of these pay rates continues.
