DefenseLINK is the official site of the Secretary of Defense and receives more than 1.5 million hits and 80,000 unique visitors weekly and supports more than 12 mailing lists with more than 50,000 subscribers and several posts per day. The overall budget for operations rose from $500K in 1999 to $1.35 million in 2002.
