Currently, Carol A. Jackson is the Commander of the Bureau of Professional Standards with the University City Police Department in St. Louis, Missouri, where she has been employed since 1978. She also served her country for over 23 years with active and reserve time, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in February of 2002 from the United States Army.

She holds a Masters and PH. D in Christian Counseling and Theology and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Carol is licensed and certified as a Pastoral Counselor with the National Association of Christian Counselors and is currently CEO of Carol Jackson Ministries, Inc.

Though Carol has chosen challenging careers, personally, she is a mellow and passionate person who likes to take time to breathe. One of her obvious passions is writing poetry and the fire of that passion has led her to pursue a more definitive outlook to gain more prominence in the literary culture.

As an author, she has literally poured herself into the pages of "Turn Gently My Pages" so as to share her passionate romantic poetic expressions with the world. Several of Carol's writings have already been internationally published, however, "Turn Gently My Pages" is Carol's first book. Carol looks forward to many future publications of her writing. She is currently working on a sequel to her first book as well as several other projects.
