The Fire is Raging

I am transported to a place

that I cannot leave,

nor will I return

until I have dwelt in your soul.

I welcome you to bring me your gifts.

In turn,

you permit me to deliver mine to you.

I await your gift

to be showered upon my being in abundance

by the love you will make within me.

My gifts rain upon you

until you are soaked and drenched

with the love made especially for you-

by me.

I am engulfed in your flames

by just being in your presence.

You pour on me

the accelerant of yourself

and the flames roar to heights that consume me.

Draw near to me

and feel the fire raging within,

awaiting your touch.

Touch me deeply

and cool me with your mouth.

Contend the blaze

with your breath upon my face.

Cover me with yourself

and still the flames.

Be my blanket of comfort

and wrap yourself around me.

Hold me tightly

not allowing our hearts to beat separately.

Smother me with your face

so that our breaths join one another.

Breathe deep breaths for me.

For in this closeness,

It is only your air

that I need and want.

Our sighs and groans

play melodies of passion

in unison and harmony

as they billow from the love we make.

I go limp under your touch

from the softness of your lips

placed upon me.

Do not leave a place

on my face and lips untouched by yours

lest those places thirst and wither.

Fill me with your closeness

until we are one,

heightened together

escalated beyond mystery

causing our bodies to shiver

from the love and passion

that will flow from us

like honey being poured

Into each other’s beings.

Entangled together,

we rested our passion

as the sun rose

to shine upon

the contentment of our souls.
