Not all of us play musical instruments, have our own band, can sing
like those on American Idol, or are even musically inclined. However,
I'm sure that the majority of the population appreciates music in some
way, shape or form. Some people enjoy listening to music while:
- working out or getting some exercise
- doing homework or office work
- preparing or eating a meal
- cleaning or doing chores
- enjoying the commute to work and school
- passing the time when they're bored
- ETC.
Some even enjoy music on its own, not only as something to pass the time and listen to
while doing something unpleasant or boring. In fact, music is not only something beautiful
to listen to, but actually develops a different part of the brain than any other activity.
Honestly, I cannot think of one person I know that doesn't enjoy music in some way or another.
All my friends and acquaintances play or have played a musical instrument, were part of a choir or sang elsewhere, do or did some type of dance or theatre classes or at least enjoy listening
to music during their free time. Music is essential because it is so different from anything
else that surrounds us. Nothing can convey an emotion or an idea in a similar way.That's why
