MY OPINIONS ABOUT DOWNLOADING

I do not believe in downloading music. Isn't that shocking? It's just not something I consider to be a "moral" thing to do, besides the fact that I don't own a computer so I don't have the opportunity. Have it as you like, but downloading music is
basically the piracy of music. And I can tell you that any
composer, past or present works very hard on his or her music
and deserves the full profit
from it.Many say that music celebrities often make too much money, but once they've paid their record company, given the part of the paycheck to their families, replaced equipment
and started to organize something new, there is very little "extra" profit left over.
So why do people download music besides the fact that they feel they aren't cheating anyone out of anything? Because in our capitalist society, we want value for our money. At the moment, CDs are rather expensive, ranging anywhere from ten to thirty dollars. So, most of us think "Why spend so much money buying a CD when I can get all the songs I want for free?" Well, that's a good question. We pay for music because it is a product or service (decide for yourself),like we pay for all our other products and services. Music is no different. I do realize that a burnt CD is a cheap and personalized gift for a friend (or just for yourself) and having all the songs YOU want, not some you like and some you don't.My solution would be to start writing to music compagnies and suggesting a number of songs that would go well on an album and suggest a certain price.Your ideas may be beneficial to the compagny and the consumer.I do think that CDs are overpriced and that they should be cheaper so they are able to compete with those downloading that music. Don't get me wrong: I think that selling music on the internet is a good idea but selling it, not giving it away.

This graph does show some improvement in the number of files people download.I hope it continues.
