All of the art forms listed above allow us to express ourselves in many different ways. Music often expresses moods or feelings, art often tries to convey an idea or something or somewhere, literature gives us an entire idea to read, analyze and consider, dance gives us either emotions or a plot, depending on the type of dance, and theatre, as well as movies, are sort of similar to the top of a food chain, incorporating music and dance and often originating from literature.It tries to mix all the other arts together into one.
Often, by seeing, hearing, or watching art from another era, you have an idea of what that time period is like and if it is well done, you feel as if you are in that particular time and place. We can also relate to the themes and the characters that are presented to the viewer in the arts...you develop a certain feeling for a character or a disagreement with the opinion of the book. We can also appreciate different genres or types of art, even if it is not our most favoured type, nor like the art of the present time. Art also impacts such things as our beliefs and values, fashion and even possibly how we live our lives. The impact of the arts is very deeply engraved in the soul of humans.
