One of my newer hobbies is customizing action figures.  Like I said before, I have always been a huge comic book fan and a collector of toys.  Well you take that mindset and combine it with someone who used to make his own heroes for Villains and Vigilantes (a superhero role playing game) and you get a toy maker.  LOL

Here are some of the toys that I've made.

Mighty Gung Ho Yaaaa!!!!.jpg (57175 bytes)Mighty Gung Ho Yaaaaaa!  ( I love that  name)  Obviously a martial artist.  He was  easy to make.  Just a repaint of a Silver  Surfer figure.  The Kanji on his chest was a bit difficult though.  It's not easy to write kanji with a paint brush.  It says "Zenryoku" which can be translated to mean full power.

Nova.jpg (76123 bytes) Nova.  One of my first characters.  In our campaigns he always got ragged about his crest so in a typical act of Nova defiance I made it extra large.  Nova was an easy repaint. I just used a silver surfer body with some sculpey for his crest.

Proud Mary.jpg (60602 bytes)Proud Mary.  I really like this figure.  It took a lot of work to make her hair but I liked the end result with the long pony tail. I had to cut out most of her hair and redo it with sculpey.

Star Man.jpg (58466 bytes)Star Man.  One of my favorite figures.  I like the way the black costume came out, being a glossy black.  His eyes are black with white points of light in them for a "cosmic awareness" effect.  His cape has wire in it to make it poseable. He was made with a Sunspot body    and a Peter Parker head.
