Ever since 1994, snorkeling has been one of my favorite hobbies.  It was that year that I first discovered the crystal clear water of the Japan Sea on the west coast of Japan.  Ever since then I have spent every chance I get at the beach.  To me gliding through the water unencumbered by equipment is the closest thing to flying.  I'm a very good swimmer and so far have gone down to depths of 30+ feet.  At this depth I enjoy sitting with a rock in my lap for ballast and taking in the scenery.  Just like this picture.>
