Magic-user Fun
The Magic-user receives a present from Keapon Laffin, from QFG 2. Open the package
in your inventory, and then take a look at the wrapping paper. Later when you
are at the Heart of the World, visit the spirits in the cave east of the waterfall
near the top of the tree. They will tell you to find a blue orchid, bathe it
in the waters of Erana's Pool when the moon shines on it, and return it to the
platform in the cave at the top of the waterfall. Wander around the jungles
near the Heart of the World. Randomly you will find a blue orchid, high in the
treetops. Fetch it. Then, at night go to Erana's Pool of Peace and dip it in
the waters. Cast detect magic while you're there. Return to the platform at
the Heart of the World to receive your magical wood, then return it to Kreesha.
The Magic-User has to go through a magical duel. The character may also have
to go through the Initiation Contest, but that depends of it's a mixed character
or not. Anyway, when you are brought to the Leopardman Village, you will have
to fight their Shaman in a duel. First, summon your staff. Then cast reversal,
calm, open, juggling lights, dazzle, and levitate. Finally, kill the Demon,
or throw a dispel potion on it. Retrieve the spear, and return to the Simbani
Village. Off to the Lost City!
