Earls
Court:
is about 5 tube stops from the central gay area of London, and has a much smaller scene. However you will still find a complete range of gay venues including bars, clubs, hotels, shops and restaurants - if you are only staying a night in London, you could quite easily satisfy all your gay-man-on-holiday urges in the area. On a sunny summer afternoon, take a stroll and sunbath in the long grass of the fabulous, atmospheric and cruisy Brompton Cemetery (but see my page on 'Dangers and Annoyances'), followed by a drink at the leather and jeans Colehern bar. Then you can check out the excellent restaurants which I list before heading to Ted's Place (say around 9pm) for a raunchy time (but be sure to check my review to see if it is a gay or TV/TS night!). If you are still up for it after that, then you can head for Bromptons club en route to your gay hotel. |
