There's an old story about a Jewish fellow who is lost, all alone, on a desert island. Passing sailors find him and ask about the two synagogues (shuls) that he constructed. "This one," he says, "is my shul. I pray here every day". "And the other building?" "Oh, that shul? I wouldn't step foot into it."
