There's an old story about a Jewish fellow who is lost, all alone, on a desert island. Passing sailors find him and ask about the two shuls (synagogues) that he constructed. "This one," he says, "is my shul. I pray here every day". "And the other building?" "Oh, that shul? I would never step foot into it." This group is about The Other Shul. |
In the computer world, OCR refers to Optical Character Recognition, which is a means for "reading" graphics-based text. The Other Shul is about another OCR: Orthodox-Conservative-Reform. Many Jews have difficulties Optically Recognizing their friends' personal Character. |
