| Mall of America Tour For High School Orchestra Students (includes the 8th graders who play with the High School Orchestra) The date of the tour is December 4 & 5, 2002 Information packets with all forms, and tour information, will be passes out by Monday, November 4th and is due back Friday, November 8th. |
| Madison Symphony Concert 8th grade & High School Tuesday, March 4, 2003 - at the Oscar Mayer Theater in the Madison Civic Center. Conductor, Beverly Taylor, and the Madison Symphony Orchestra will play various symphonies. Two high School students, as part of the High School Concerto Competition, will guest-solo with the symphony. The performance is at 10 am. Students will need to bring money to eat lunch on State Street. Contact Mrs. Nielen if you would be interested in chaperoning. |
| For 4th - 7th Grade Orchestras This program will be at the Oscar Mayer Theater in the Madison Civic Center on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 The performance will be by the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Featured will also be the two winners of the Youth Concerto Contest. Students ages 8-14 compete for the chance to guest-solo with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and a scholarship to the UW -Madison Summer Music camp.The show is 50 minutes and students will attend the 11:15 am performance. Buses will pick students up form their schools about 9:30 am and return to the schools about 2:30 pm. Students need to bring about $5.00 because we will be stopping at McDonald's for lunch.
