ALL STUDENTS are responsible for coming to Orchestra and lessons on time, having their instrument and music with them. Mrs. Nielsen will be sending home lesson schedules. Students are expected to bring their lesson/practice logs to every lesson. It is more productive to play every day, even for only five minutes, than to skip a day entirely. Goals are very important. Help your students develop a healthy, daily practice routine! Also, please help them remember to take their instruments and music to school on lesson days Students are also responsible for maintaining their own strings, brideges, rosin, etc. If strings are getting old, worn, or broken, it is up to the student to replace them. Sources of strings, and other string supplies, can be found on the links web page. Fourth and fifth grade orchestra students will participate in the following concerts during the school year @ the High School Auditorium: Holiday Concert, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002 6:30pm. Dessert Concert, Sunday, April 6, 2003 2:00pm String Festival, June 5, 2003, 7:30pm |
