| Grades 4 - 7 Orchestra Field Trip |
| For Fourth and Fifth Grade Orchestra 6th & 7th Grade Orchestras This program will be at the Oscar Mayer Theater in the Madison Civic Center on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 The performance will be by the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Featured will also be the two winners of the Youth Concerto Contest. Students ages 8-14 compete for the chance to guest-solo with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and a scholarship to the UW -Madison Summer Music camp. The show is 50 minutes and students will attend the 11:15 am performance. Buses will pick students up form their schools about 9:30 am and return to the schools about 2:30 pm. There is no charge to the students for the concert but they need $5.00 ( check made out to Orchestra Boosters) for all you can eat lunch and a movie at Rocky Rococo. Students will also be inspired by two guest soloists from the Fall Youth Concerto Competition: Christina Naughton, Piano Thomas Jefferson Middle School, Madison, and Kay Powell, Piano, East High School , Madison. |
