Makawao Rodeo is one of the
funniest things to do on Maui. Especially if you and your family are going to
visit Maui during this event. It takes place on the 4th of July weekend after
the Makawao parade. At the makawao rodeo you will experience a fun filled
adventure that you will never forget forget life time.You will see bulls,
horses, and lambs. You will see keikis riding lambs, you will also see kids
between 10 - 12 riding calfs to show their exciting talents. And don¹t forget
the barrel racing when you and your horse
race around barrels to have the best time. And if you are college students you
will have the pleasure of a gigantic bulls. So come down to Maui and experience
the makawao rodeo.

Haleakala
Crater
Mt. Haleakala is the highest point on Maui, at 10,000ft! The view atop the
mighty volcano, Haleakala, is wonderful! The once active crater is stained red
and yellow from past lava flows. It also has horseback rides down the crater as
well as camping and cabins at the bottom. On the hike down the crater there are
giant boulders as well as the great endangered Silver Sword plant that only
grows in the crater and on the slopes of Haleakala! Be sure that you stay on the
trail, so you don¹t step on any interesting endangered species or slip on
the ash and cinders.

Ulupalakua Ranch and Tedeschi
Winery
The ranch and winery are located on the dry, old, and scenic road to Hana,
in Ulupalakua taking up almost half of the town! The winery has 9 wines
including a sparkling wine (Champagne) and pineapple wines... fresh wines.

Haleakala National Park -- Oheo
Gulch
Oheo Gulch is located in the Kipahulu district of East Maui. Oheo Gulch used
to be called Seven Sacred Pools to attract tourists, but now no one really calls
it that because the real name is Oheo Gulch. It¹s the lower part of Haleaka
National Park. There are places where you can swim but, you have to be careful
because you can get badly hurt or swept away . The lower pools flow through to
the ocean. If you don¹t want to swim you can hike or you can do both.

Haleakala Ranchlands
This place is the coolest because it has the best hunting grounds and it¹s
located on the beautiful slopes of Mount Haleakala. The Ranchlands have a lot of
wild pheasants, pigs, goats, and deer that you can hunt, but you will need your
hunting license. The best way to get there is with an ATV (All-Terrain-Vehicle)
or horse. Come to Maui and hunt.

Twin Falls

Twin Falls is located in East Maui on the road to Hana. There are two falls. The
lower fall is a short way from the road and the other fall has a very beautiful
jump. It is the highest jump I have ever seen. There are wild prawns as big as
your hand and they tastd very delicous! Beware! Have caution where you jump
because there are rocks. There are also more falls besides Twin Falls along the
road to Hana.
