This is to the 2,819 innocent people who died in the horrible incident in the U.S. due to terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon: Take a moment to reflect on this tragedy so the horrible incidents which occurred on September 11, 2001 are not repeated in the future. None of us will ever forget where we were and what we saw on that day, the shoulders we cried on, God or gods we prayed to, the heroes who risked their lives to help those in need, and friends we turned to helped us pull together as a nation and make it through this senseless act.

This is to Ricky Nicholas, Adam Bishop, and Drew Myers: three students who weren't with Hempfield's graduating class of 2002 on June 5 as the rest of us received our diplomas. Although I only knew one of you, all three of you have had a tremendous impact on me and every member of our class. We will never forget any of you.
