Documentation Plan











1. Objective:

     This section will describe the structures and formats that was established as guidelines and also to reference those guidlines.

2. Discussion:

     JDSB Solutions' guidelines were stipulated by the Instructor (Dr. Brown). In the project guidelines section of Dr. Brown's website, www.cis498.com.

3. Details:

     JDSB Solutions' members used the work breakdown technique to divide the work among the members. The following describes the documents stipulated by Dr. Brown and also provides a brief description of what each document is.

     Report Cover: This document contains information about the development team.

     Title Page: This document contains information about the client (DFCS),and the Instructor, including email addresses, telephone numbers and so on.

     Table of Contents: This outlines what the rest of the document contains along with page numbers.

     Engagement Letter: This is a formal letter to the client, outlining the work planned and an overall picture of what the system will have the ability to do.

     Project Plan: This document contains a calendar of work, presentations and deliverables for the duration of the project.

     Diagrams: This contains sequence, use cases, and other figures that aid in the analysis and understanding of the system to be built.

     Footnotes: Contains information used for clarity and/or references.

     Bibliography: Used to reference all resources used in the the understanding, building and delivery of the system.

     Project Log: This document describes the workload of each member of the developing team(JDSB). It also serves as a meeting documentation.

     Performance Report: This is signed by each member of the developing team confirming their contributions towards the project.

There were also system analysis documents that were produced by JDSB during the requirements gathering process.

     Problems with the Current System: This document was used to describe the flaws and inefeciencies of the current system at DFCS.

     Rationales for Building the System: This document describe the reasons for building the new system drawn from the feasibility study.

     System Requirements: This document lists the features of the system to be built taken from the interviews with the stakeholders at DFCS.
