Abstract
The objective of this project is to build a simple tool to grade and check the location of loudspeakers of a surround sound system, to demonstrate auditory cues used for sound localization, and to check the listening room environment.
The scope shall involve creating Matlab codes for varying the magnitude, phase and frequency of a music sound wave to simulate sound source at different locations. Labview software shall be used to program the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) boards. The DSP boards shall feed two dual-channel amplifiers which will drive the four speakers � front left / right, and rear left / right.
